The Moulin de la Follaine in Azay-sur-Indre is ideally located between Tours and Loches, in the heart of the Loire Valley châteaux region. It is close to the garden village of Chédigny, a paradise for roses. This authentic mill, whose origins date back to the 15th century, with its still-functioning mechanism, awaits you for an unforgettable stay. Nestled in the heart of a verdant setting, this residence welcomes you for a bucolic escape. You will stay in one of its four guest rooms or in the adjacent gîte: the Miller's Lodge. Our guest rooms surrounded by nature are available from the spring holidays until the end of the All Saints' Day holidays. Our gîte is open year-round. Our accommodations are perfect for your stays with family, as a couple, or with friends, for a single night or a longer stay. Its wooded park invites you to relax. You can stroll at your leisure while observing the ducks, our cats, and our Touraine white geese. After a restful night, you will enjoy a hearty breakfast while admiring the workings of the mill. Without a doubt, the Moulin de la Follaine is the ideal place to take a well-deserved rest after exploring the region. Two charming buildings
Le Moulin de la Follaine comprises two buildings. The main building houses four quiet guest rooms near the most beautiful Loire Valley châteaux, spread over two floors, as well as a tea room and a lounge available to our guests. The second building contains a fully equipped, independent cottage with its own terrace and private garden.

The two-hectare park
Our gîte and guest rooms, nestled in the heart of nature and the Loire Valley châteaux region, are surrounded by a vast wooded park accessible to our guests. You will enjoy strolling along the pond, walking beside the river that encircles the property, and watching the frogs and dragonflies dart about on the pond. Whether you are relaxing in one of the comfortable armchairs, fishing, or simply curious about nature, come and enjoy a moment of peace in our haven of tranquility.
Comfortable accommodations
- Bed and Breakfast: Check-in: between 5 pm and 7 pm – Check-out: before 10:30 am – All-inclusive: breakfast, linens, toiletries, cleaning, etc. – Baby cot available – Extra bed available in the Belfry Room. The upstairs rooms are air-conditioned.
- Self-Catering Cottage: Check-in: from 4 pm – Check-out: before 10 am – Linens and towels optional, mandatory cleaning fee, central heating charged extra from November to May, baby cot available, toiletries provided, short stays possible (3 nights) outside of school holidays.
