Sabine and Jean-Luc

Sabine, Jean-Luc, and their four-legged companions welcome you to the beautiful Moulin de la Follaine. Curious and adventurous, Jean-Luc and Sabine lived in Africa and then in various parts of France before deciding to return to Sabine's home region, where she grew up in a small village between Chambord and Cheverny. Jean-Luc left his native flatlands without too much regret, captivated from his very first visit by the charms and delights of the Loire Valley. While searching for their dream home, they immediately fell in love with this beautiful mill.

A wine enthusiast, Jean-Luc travels throughout the region discovering the producers and grape varieties of Touraine to share his finds with you.

Sabine, a Nordic walking enthusiast, will reveal her favorite routes, or perhaps she'd like to introduce you to scrapbooking (the art of arranging photos), one of her other passions.

Your hosts eagerly await your arrival to help you discover the curiosities, insider tips, and little secrets of this magnificent region, and make your stay in Touraine an unforgettable experience!

We look forward to welcoming you to the hunting grounds of the Marquis de Lafayette!

Our four-legged companions

Our four cats are the mascots of our establishment. During your stay at our charming guesthouse in the heart of the Loire Valley and Touraine region, you will have the opportunity to meet Iniwa, Repetto, Merlin, and Flash. We have also adopted two Touraine geese, white with blue eyes: Constance and Anatole.

A passion for mills

Your hosts took over the Moulin de la Follaine in 2018. A passionate advocate for this exceptional heritage, Jean-Luc will be delighted to operate the mill's waterwheel and mechanisms, explain how they work, and tell you about his hydroelectric power generation projects. We would be thrilled to share our passion and welcome you to our charming guesthouse near the Loire Valley châteaux, where you can discover all its secrets.
